West Hill Biological Resources, Inc. (WHBR) is a private corporation involved in the development and distribution of educational materials. WHBR distributes a number of programs under licenses granted by other developers.

WHBR is the sole owner of the information collected on www.WestHillBio.com.  We collect information from our users at several points on our website.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user.  Cookies are used on our site to allow users to reenter restricted areas of the site within a session without having to repeat login or register to gain access. The cookies set by our site during a session are removed when you leave our site.

Log Files

Like most standard website servers we use log files.  This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

We do not have any third party advertising on our sites.

Spam

We do not spam our customers. You will only receive e-mailings pertinent to products you have indicated an interest in through the downloads you have made. Such e-mailing are infrequent and will not contain unreasonably large attachments. You will only receive postal mail if you requested it, and we do not make frequent mass mailing of catalogs as a matter of principle.

Business Transitions

In the event WHBR goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, user’s personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.  Users will be notified via e-mail 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information.  If as a result of the business transition, the users personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our notification of changes section.
